Benn Northover is an English-Irish director and actor. As a filmmaker, his work is often characterized by a bold visual style and a strong emphasis on character. Crosses genres from documentary to drama and advertising. After studying film in the UK, Northover moved to New York to study acting at the prestigious Stella Adler studio. Northovers documentary and narrative work has screened at venues and festivals such as the Centre Pompidou, Serpentine Gallery, BFI London and the Venice Biennale. His acting credits include Harry Potter and Netflix crime trilogy The Invisible Guardian. For 23 years he worked closely with legendary Filmmaker Jonas Mekas and serves on the Board of advisors of New York’s Anthology Film Archives.
